Page info shows where you are in a document and what you’re looking at: the page, the zoom and, in the bar form, details about the file and the page. Press i to show or hide it.
Available in pre-release 3.7
Press i to show page info. At a glance:
  • Show / hide: i, or Ctrl + K, then Toggle Page Info (CmdTogglePageInfo).
  • Tip: by default, a small tip over the document: Page: 37 / 120 (31%) · 100%.
  • Bar: set PageInfoLocation to bottom or bottom-overlay for a bar along the bottom of the window with more detail.

Show page info as a bar #

Set the advanced setting PageInfoLocation (Settings → Advanced Settings…):
Value What you get
notification (or legacy) the tip over the top-left of the document (default)
bottom a bar below the document, across the whole window; the document gets shorter
bottom-overlay the same bar, drawn over the bottom of the document
With bottom or bottom-overlay the bar is shown when a window opens. i hides and shows it.

What the bar shows #

The file on the left, the current page on the right. In a narrow window the left side is shortened first.

Tips #

  • Use bottom-overlay to keep the document’s size while the bar is up.
  • In full screen the tip starts with the file name, which nothing else shows there.
  • For a single page’s full size in every unit, see File → Properties (Ctrl + D).
